Digital marketing agency and companyin Ranchi, Jharkhand
Head offices, colleges and Hindi readers each buy differently, so a Ranchi plan cannot be one plan. Every enquiry traced to its source.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Head offices, hostelsand Hindi headlines.
Ranchi is an unusual mix for a city its size, and one message will not reach all of it. PromotEdge, a digital marketing agency, plans search, ads, websites, print, radio and fair stalls for Jharkhand businesses, and judges each by the enquiries it brings.
Three government-owned companies are headquartered here: Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), the steel ministry's consultancy MECON and Central Coalfields (CCL). Suppliers sell to them. The city also draws students to IIM Ranchi, BIT Mesra, a national law university and RIMS.
A firm selling pumps to a coal mine needs a website an engineer trusts. A coaching centre needs affordable admission enquiries. A sari shop needs people walking in before Durga Puja. Our job is to impress those customers, not you.
So we start with your numbers: enquiries a month, where they come from, and how many become sales. Change is the only constant, so we check them every month and move the money.
One team handles strategy, advertising, digital marketing and BTL (stalls, events, in-store branding). So a newspaper insertion, your Google listing and a fair stall carry one message.

How we deliver it, and why
How your business model changes the plan
A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) maker leans on search, LinkedIn and trade fairs. A coaching centre or college needs steady admission enquiries. A franchise needs a Google listing per outlet. A D2C (direct-to-customer) brand needs Meta ads and Hindi content.
- Read the last three months of enquiries. They show whether you sell to companies, households or students. A one-page read of your channels.
- Plan by buyer, then by channel. A mine supplier and a coaching centre are reached in different places. A plan with Hindi and English marked.
- Show every media rate first. Media is billed at actuals, so you decide with the number in front of you. A rate sheet before you say yes.
- Report by channel and area. Cost per lead (what one enquiry cost on average) shows what to stop and what to grow. A monthly report.
Go deeper: Ranchi's economy and its companies
Local economy: top industries
IBEF's state page lists mining, iron and steel, engineering, chemicals, handloom, food and cement among Jharkhand's key industries. It says engineering goods made up 37.51% of exports of Rs 20,847 crore in FY26, and that Jharkhand is the only state producing coking coal, uranium and pyrite.

Local economy: companies and institutions with a base here
HEC says it was set up in 1958 and is headquartered at Ranchi. CMPDI, a Coal India subsidiary, has its corporate headquarters here and has been a Mini Ratna (Category I) company since June 2019. PTI reported that CCL, also based in Ranchi, produced a record 87.5 million tonnes in FY25 (update of 22 June 2025). A Manorama Yearbook item of 2 July 2026 gives MECON, under the Ministry of Steel, a Ranchi headquarters.
IIM Ranchi says it was established in 2009. BIT Mesra says B.M. Birla founded it in 1955 and that it became a deemed university in 1986.

Chamber of commerce
The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries, formerly the Chotanagpur Chamber, says it was founded on 15 September 1960.

AI in Ranchi marketing: today and next
Today
Google's help page says the Gemini web app works in more than 70 languages, and Hindi and Bengali are on the list. That helps with first drafts for ads and pages.

A draft still needs a native reader, because local words and tone are easy to get wrong. Our view: drafts and reports will keep getting faster, but knowing your buyer still decides the plan. Want us to look at yours? Ask us.

Ranchi:what we do.
Three things a digital marketing company in Ranchi must get right.
What we would study first before spending a rupee of your budget.
1. A mining and engineering state, with buyers at the top of the chain. PRS Legislative Research puts Jharkhand's GSDP at ₹6,24,868 crore for 2026-27, 10% more than the year before.
The Ministry of Coal counts 93,254 million tonnes of coal in the state as of 1 April 2025, about 23.3% of India's resources. Firms that sell to these buyers need search, LinkedIn and a credible website. Colleges need steady admission enquiries.
2. Hindi first, English for business, many home languages. Hindi is the official language. In 2019 the state gave second-official-language status to Santhali, Bangla, Mundari, Ho, Kurmali, Nagpuri, Odiya, Maithili, Bhojpuri and others.
Hindustan, Dainik Jagran and Prabhat Khabar have Ranchi editions in Hindi, and three national dailies in English (ABC).
TRAI counted 22.69 million internet subscribers in Jharkhand in March 2026: 93.5 per 100 people in towns, 41.4 in villages. Ranchi city leans on Google and Meta. Villages also need Hindi print or radio.
3. A festival year with two crowded months. Durga Puja holidays fall on 19 and 20 October 2026 and Diwali on 8 November.
Statehood Day and the Chhath evening offering both fall on 15 November, the morning offering on 16 November. Shops plan around these weeks. Firms that sell to companies plan around the April to March budget year.

Media, rules and groundsworth knowing in Ranchi.
| What | In Ranchi | For your plan |
|---|---|---|
| Private FM radio | Four stations on the information ministry's March 2026 list: 91.9, 92.7, 104.8 and 106.4 MHz. | Short, frequent spots suit a sale or an admission date. |
| Hindi dailies | Prabhat Khabar was started in Ranchi in 1984 (news report). | Hindi for households and shops, English for company buyers. |
| The 2026 hoarding case | On 11 August 2026 the Jharkhand High Court heard agencies challenging a Ranchi Municipal Corporation order to remove hoardings. We found no final ruling. Divider-pole boards may not hang below 12 feet. | Ask what happens if a site is removed before a long outdoor contract. |
| Morabadi ground | The 11th India International Mega Trade Fair ran from 26 March to 6 April 2026, with 480+ stalls and 12 countries. | The main fair site for meeting shoppers face to face. |
| Birsa Munda Airport | 27,01,796 passengers in 2025-26, up 5.2% (AAI). | Visitors search for hotels and hospitals before they land. |
Checked 4 October 2026. The hoarding case was heard in August 2026; check its status before booking outdoor. Holiday dates come from HR sites quoting Jharkhand Gazette No. 542, not the gazette itself.
What affects the cost of marketing in Ranchi.

- Ad spend on Google and Meta, kept apart from our fee
- Festival timing: Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath all fall between mid-October and mid-November
- Trade fairs: stall size, days and team travel

What you get in the quote

For a sense of media cost, the government's Akashvani card lists FM Rainbow Ranchi at ₹550 gross for a 10-second spot (rates from June 2017). That is a government rate, not our fee. Compare agency quotes on GST, ad spend and who does the work.

Common questions.
-
Our servicing team is based in cities across India and works hybrid and remotely, so Ranchi is no problem. We are in Ranchi at least every three months, and can sit at your site. Meetings happen on video or in person, whichever suits your team.
-
No agency can prove that, so we won't claim it. Ask for real numbers from your industry, the names of the people on your account, a written scope and how they will handle Hindi copy. Ask us the same questions before you decide.
-
Yes, if you sell in other districts too. Villages have less than half as many internet connections per person as towns (TRAI, March 2026), so a state-wide plan usually adds Hindi print or Akashvani. Jamshedpur has its own page. Tell us which districts matter.
-
It depends on your buyer. Hindi is the official language, while engineers and company buyers often search in English. Through our language partners we create content in Hindi, English, Bengali and more, and confirm any other language before we quote.
-
Not for digital. Durga Puja holidays fall on 19 and 20 October, Diwali on 8 November and Chhath on 15 and 16 November. Ads can still go live. Book newspaper and radio now. For Sarhul in 2027, plan from January.
-
Carefully. In August 2026 the Jharkhand High Court heard agencies challenging a city order to remove hoardings, and we found no final ruling. Divider-pole boards must sit at least 12 feet up. General guidance, not legal advice. Check the latest order before booking any site.

The enquiries you got, where each came from, and your cost per lead (CPL), what you paid on average for one enquiry. If you share sales, we add those. Then we say what to stop, keep and try. Reports come in plain words, with no jargon left unexplained.
